Special Education

Starr Commonwealth

Starr Commonwealth's Albion, Michigan residential programs are licensed by the state of Michigan to provide treatment to boys between the ages of 12 and 18 using a strength-based, youth-empowered model of treatment. Students are placed at Starr Commonwealth through the court, FIA, CMO, and private referral. These students live in "cottages" and attend on-campus school staffed by the CISD. The CISD staff meets the varied educational needs of these students in a year-round program that includes special education programming, Title I services, entrance and exit testing, and diagnostic testing.
