Advanced Allied Health
Program Description
The Advanced Allied Health Program is designed to continue the exploration of high school seniors' potential career paths in the healthcare industry. Students will be expected to complete training and sit for the National Certification Exam for Clinical Medical Assistant with an offer of further certification (when meeting minimum requirements) in Patient Care Technician, EKG technician, or Phlebotomy. Students will receive training in a variety of health care procedures, including medical asepsis and the OSHA standard, clinical laboratory, urinalysis, the medical record, and much more.
Eligible students in Health Careers Prep, Health Occupations and 21st Century Health Careers have the opportunity to participate in the KCC CNA program.
