Welcome Baby Early Learning Visits!
Are you expecting a baby or have a child under the age of one? Families living in the Calhoun ISD service area (Calhoun County, Bellevue, Olivet, and Union City), are eligible to participate in the Welcome Baby Early Learning Program. If you deliver in Marshall, Battle Creek, or at Bronson/Kalamazoo, you should receive a referral form at the time of baby's birth. The hospital staff will fax your referral form to Early Childhood Connections and a family coach will be in contact with you.
Over the course of three short visits, parents will receive free diapers, wipes, books, a digital thermometer and other supplies appropriate to the child's age (sleep sack for newborns, hand made quilt for 3-8 month olds) to enrich their child's healthy development and learning. Parents will learn the latest information about safe sleep, car seat safety, tummy time, community resources available to families with children ages birth to five, and much more. Parents will be given more specific information about all of the FREE services offered by Early Childhood Services.
If you live in Calhoun County, Bellevue, Olivet, or Union City and did not receive a Welcome Baby referral form at the time of delivery, please complete the Welcome Baby Application or call (269) 660-1606 ext. 6150.
