Early Literacy

Calhoun Intermediate School District received a grant to provide Early Literacy Coaching.   Early Literacy Coaches provide support for General Education Leadership Network (GELN) Early Literacy Essential Practices through professional learning with leaders and teachers, coaching cohorts and individual coaching.  Coaches support leadership teams with the implementation of the GELN School-Wide and Center-Wide Essential Practices, in order to create a high impact literacy culture. These leadership sessions provide a deeper understanding and the connection of both essential classroom practices in literacy and building-wide system practices centered around a high impact literacy culture.
